ABI FERRIN
COMMERCE STRATEGIST
Born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Abi has an extensive background in storytelling and building social impact supply chains. Along with a BA in International Government and Mass Media Communication, she spent the first 20 years of her career pioneering social impact in global fashion supply chains inspired by the empowerment principles of the Grameen Bank model. She founded the “Freedom Project”, which served to provide education and a viable economic model for survivors of abuse, human trafficking, exploitation and discrimination, partnering with groups in Nepal, Cambodia, Peru and US. Abi is currently the CEO of Moon Rising, which exemplifies the slow fashion business model, whilst also working with many First Nation Chiefs and elders from around the globe to support climate initiatives, co-create economic empowerment in their respective communities, and preserve their artisanal craftsmanship. She has spent the past decade studying with indigenous elders including the Quechua in Peru, the Huni Kuin in the Amazon, and the Lakota in the US.
